President Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister Donald Tusk met with students at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy

On the Day of Ukraine's Unity, Kyiv-Mohyla Academy hosted Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky and Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk for a meeting with students. The guests of honor mentioned that a new history of friendship between Ukrainians and Poles is being written, and that the meeting that took place on January 22 is a remarkable part of that history. Matters of defense, EU support, and opposition to Ukraine's NATO bid were discussed. After the initial statements by both heads of state, students posed incisive and perceptive questions that contributed to the atmosphere of an open discussion.

КMA President Serhiy Kvit was a moderator of this meeting

It has been a great honor for the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy to host such distinguished guests. We are thankful for this opportunity for our students -Ukraine's young leaders, to participate in this incredible, historic conversation.

This was not the first time Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk visited Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. On March 24, 2008, he participated in the opening of the Center for Polish and European Studies at KMA, that was named after Józef Giedroyc in 2013. The Center is a vibrant hub for academic work.
